Mary Francis Berry spoke with Phil Glende. Berry, author of the new book “Five Dollars and a Pork Chop Sandwich: Vote Buying and the Corruption of Democracy,” was the keynote speaker at the Martin Luther King Jr. dinner at Indiana State University on Friday. Berry is a longtime activist for civil rights, gender equity and social justice.
